March 2021 marked 8 years since Dad’s fight against Prostate cancer finished and he was called home to heaven. I’ve found this year the toughest by far and miss him so much.
As a family we have been supporting Prostate Cancer charities since Dad’s diagnosis and will continue to do so in order to help prevent others from loosing the men they love to this terrible disease.
Having recently got the running bug back I have decided that I will take part in Prostate Cancer’s Run the Month: Marathon Edition by running two half marathons in July 2021. The last time I ran a half marathon was in 2009 so I feel this will be a challenge but one that I will do for Dad knowing he will be cheering me on. Please sponsor me so that together we can beat it and prevent others losing someone as special and wonderful as my family has.
Prostate cancer is now the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the UK, killing one man every 45 minutes. That's one dad, partner, brother, son, grandad, uncle or mate. We’re raising money to help fund lifesaving research and support for men and their families affected by prostate cancer.
